WebEx Desktop Video Conferencing is a software application that allows for audio and video conferencing across the Internet. The application is sold by WebEx Communications Inc., a Cisco company that provides on-demand collaboration, online meeting, web conferencing and video conferencing applications.1

The WebEx application is installed on a host server and then participants can connect using a preassigned "conference identification number". A small free web application will download the first time someone tries to access the service, after that, the application will open a window where the user can see the leader's desktop in the center window. Audio and/or Videoconferencing is available and is shown on the side of the screen.
