I posted my comments as track changes. To see comments download file and turn on track changes under tools.
Overall I think its an interesting idea but to cover both biodiversity and climate change for 7-14 yr olds seems very broad. You may want to narrow your focus.

Hello Dan and Mario
I just wanted to let you know that the file you uploaded appears to be just a form with no entries.

Sounds like a good activity but I hope you get to give it a trial run. A wallpaper tray maybe just the shape you are looking for to model the ocean. I would also second (third?) the paper pollution over glitter for the same reasons. Still wondering if you are going to give the kids […]

I can more clearly understand the order and direction of the activity now. I think it is going to work well but I would leave the wind and currents out. For the age group you picked, walking away from an informal lesson with an understanding of buoyancy and density (even if you do not call […]

Most of the indicators that you would use for acids and bases can be toxic even in small amounts. Things like phenolphthalein (used in most universal indicators) are probably not a good idea to use in a tank people will be putting their hands in since its a suspected carcinogen. Your list of resources was […]

First, you should probably cut and paste your activity into the lesson plan on the document page if only so the reviewers can tell which section is which. Second, it is much clearer what you are going to do for your activity. I think both activities (the dredging and docks one) will work and you […]

Great job. I can clearly visualize what you are going to do. The only thing I would add would be a simple closing for younger children who are going to want to know what they can do. Do you have an ideas for a pamphlet on reducing your oil usuage? You mentioned the water bottles […]

Attached is activity in a MS Word document. To see specific comments turn on track changes in the tool menu. Generally its a good modification of existing plans but it is still fairly unclear what the presenter is doing. How exactly do you show oil spills and run off? Does the presenter do all of […]

Interesting modification of a classic lesson plan for a more informal setting. See attached word document for more specific comments. You should turn on track changes in the tool menu to see comments. In general I think it will work and fairly well but there needs to be some clarification. You list several materials but […]

Good activity and clearly presented. Comments are on the attached document. To see them turn on track changes in tools in MS Word.
The only thing I would add would be some sort of closing activity.

I have attached your activity in MSWord format with specific comments. To see them you will need to turn on track changes in the tool menu of MSWord. In general, its an interesting idea, especially where the participants get to build on a model estuary but it needs to be more specific. For example, what […]

An interesting modification of a long lab activity to the more informal setting. I gave my more specific comments in the attached document. To see them you should turn on track changes in the tool menu of MSWord. In general I think the next draft should be a little more specific in terms of what […]
