Rick Searle brings a life-long passion and commitment to environmental education that began as a park interpreter. From this beginning, he has gone on to: write articles on environmental issues/sustainability for magazines in Canada, United States, United Kingdom and Europe; author “Phantom Parks: The Struggle to Save Canada’s National Parks” in 2000; produce several educational documentaries; host and produce two local talk radio shows; and serve as an environmental specialist as well as co-host of an environmental magazine show for a regional broadcaster. In his role as Manager of Communications and Engagement, Rick is eager to advance ocean literacy among Canadians as well as to contribute to similar efforts globally.
