The Ocean Gazing podcast is a 50-episode audio series focusing on how scientists and the public use real-time data gathered from ocean observatories in their professional and personal lives.
For 9 of the episodes and counting, we offer additional lesson plan materials for middle and high school classes mapped to the National Science Education Standards.
You can find a listing of all of these lesson plans here.
Ocean Gazing is intended for use in the classroom as an introduction to a scientist and their science. The lesson plans allow students to probe the topic deeper, either through online exploration or hands-on activities.
