Hypoxic Alert!

Today the latest research findings from NOAA were published regarding the hypoxic zone in the Gulf of Mexico.  Follow the link below to see the sampling sights and oxygen levels identified in the most current location of the plume off the coast of Louisiana.  You can always check in with this site for updates and current CTD data regarding this “dead zone.”

Another great resource, as well as a point source of data we are using to plot our course, is Louisiana Univerisities Marine Consortium’s (LUMCON) site for Hypoxia in the Northern Gulf of Mexico.
